We are a social movement independent of and to the left of the Democratic Party. At this point in history, we agree that the main danger is the out of control, racist, dictatorial Donald Trump and his MAGA mob. We are appalled that Trump is trying to overthrow the democratically elected Maduro government in Venezuela. The Nobel Peace Prize should be called the Nobel Imperialist War Prize.  We unite with those who oppose his policies and support proposition 50 that creates more democratic options in the electoral arena. 

But we also see the Democratic Party as a grave danger in L.A. as we have fought their transit racism, police and prison state, gentrifying machine for 35 years. Note the invention of a new police force specifically to target Black passengers on Metro buses and trains as just one example. As a social movement, we believe in a united front against imperialism. That means we see every issue, every opportunity from the perspective of the Black and progressive community’s interests.

We call for

Open Borders & Amnesty—Support the Human Rights of Immigrants 

Stop the fascist dictatorship—fight for and expand democratic rights 

No Police on the MTA buses and trains and in LAUSD schools 

Sustain and re-instate Black specific reparative programs like the Black Student Achievement Program 

U.S. hands off Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, China, Palestine, Congo, and the world 

Build the Strategy and Soul Movement Center and fight with us to change the world
